What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?

If you are applying for employment at Geriatric Resource Centre, we may collect some of the following information.  The information is used to verify the credentials of applicants or to check the accuracy of previous employment.  It is only accessible by authorized GRC employees, it is held in strict confidence, and is not shared with any parties outside of GRC.

• Names:  First name, last name, maiden name, nicknames.
• Locations:  Street address, city, postal code, phone number and email address.
• Specific dates:  Date of birth, dates of employment.
• Employment information:  Previous employer company name, name of supervisor, employer phone number, reason for leaving.
• Professional Certifications:  CNA, HHA, Hospice, Companion, First Aid, CPR, etc.
• Social Security Number:  We ask for your social security number so that we we can run a standard CORI report.

How does GRC protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you submit your personal information on our job application.  We use a secure server and all information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.  The information can only be accessed by those authorized with secure credentials and who are required to keep the information confidential.
